April 2, 2005 - San Francisco Walking Tour This event was attended by 20 friends, from SF, East Bay, Penisula, and South Bay. The majority carpooled from east or south bay and met at Paul's place near downtown SF. Then we took the #9 bus into downtown where we met up with a few more people at Museum of Modern Art, and then more at Powell & Market. Two others joined us after lunch time as well. All the details are on the bayareadragon.com site - topic 1489. I must thank everyone for being on time, which made for planning and following the schedule so much easier! In fact, we went to all the places identified in the schedule/itinerary, and also made a stop at Fisherman's Wharf as a few people had never been there before. It was a fabulous day, sunny and clear with cool but not cold temperatures (except towards the end). We walked for a total of about 6 miles and saw lots of landmarks, neighborhoods, and even experienced the bus rides. Now everyone knows $1.25 can go a long way in SF :) I hope everyone had fun, it was great to meet you all and hope to see you in a future event! Paul Enjoy the photos!
