2/21/2010 to 3/14/2010 - greenhouse

[ Signite Photos | Pics from 3/20/10]

One winter day (2/20/10), as I was preparing the backyard lot for planting vegetables, I lamented that it was still so cold (California standard - 50's) and wet. Whynot build a greenhouse? And so with a simple sketch to start the project (and the rest simply improvised), I built a greenhouse skeleton in about two days, including wheels. And then a few weeks later added clear plastic covering (bath tub curtain liner). Total cost of the lumber, nails, stain/waterproofing, wheels, hinges, etc. was about $85. Width is about 4', height of 4', and depth of about 2', and interior height of ~28". Two sets of doors allow total closure or fully openable in hot days.
