wrap, put two pieces of leaves together, overlapped about 80%, then
fold in middle, towards one edge, to form a cup. Place the zongzi
content in the cup, starting with a layer of rice, then the 'meat'
(veggy meat, veggy chicken, mushroom, chestnut), then top off with
more rice. Squeeze the open top into triangle shape, with a straight
edge in the back where the leaves will be bent to cover the top. Fold
in the other 2 edges so they act as guards against the content falling
out. Then fold the leaves from the back, covering the open end and
over the folded 2-edges. Hm... it's not so easy describing this, will
try to take some pics for each of these steps next time. |
