These photos were taken in the setting sun off the Ralston Av exit of 101 in Redwood City/Belmont. These lupines fill the roadside with bursts of colors - blue, purple, and white, perhaps helping the motorists to relax a bit in the rushhour traffic. A few rogue California poppies were also found in the lupine field, giving a reminder that this is California. (Also see neighborhood flowers in Mountain View on 3/2/2008)
