July 22, 2001: Purisima/Pescadero

In this hike, we climbed about 1400 ft over about 3 miles, caught out breath, and came down another 3 miles through lush redwoods at the bottom to sunny open space overlooking Half Moon Bay at top.  After the hike, we drove along Rt 1 down to Pescadero beach and had our lunch there. We had 19 people on this hike, the largest gathering yet!  I think we'll be back here before long and take the 10 mile loop next time! :)
