On Sunday, February 17, 2002, 6 hikers stumbled over to Uvas Canyon County Park for a late morning hike.  As rain had poured over the area the previous nights, the trails were damp and the creeks full of water.  Although the total distance of the hike was only about 2 miles, we did have an elevation gain of about 1,000 ft.  After the hike, we came back to Chris's place in south San Jose and had a potluck that lasted late into the night.  More than a dozen people came for the potluck (hm... should I be surprised?).  There was plenty of food and games and laughter.  Happy New Year!
