[6491]  Rome, Italy.  This is the subway walkways for pedestrians.  Notice the striking resemblance to an actual vehicular roadway, complete with the yellow line and do-not-enter signs.

[6533]  Rome, Italy.  The original Colosseum, built 2000 years ago. Notice the left half and how dirty it is.  That - is from all the years of pollution.  The right half shows how beautiful the stones are once cleaned.

[6826]  Florence, Italy.  This is the Uffizi Palace, built in 1559 by Giorgio Vasari to hold administrative offices of Medici Grand Duke Cosimo I.  Now it is home to an impressive art collection, started by the Medicis, a very important family in Florence who contributed significantly to the art revivial during the renaissance era.

[5809]  Florence, Italy. This statue is housed in an 14th century Loggia dei Lanzi in the Piazza della Signoria.  The statue is named "The Rape of Sabine Women" (I think...) created by a student of Michelangelo - Giambologna.

[6967]  Florence, Italy. This picture shows the neatly parked scooters alongside a pedestrian walkway.  Behind the walkway is the river Arno, and beyond that are the houses you see.  Did you notice how the scooters are parked with their heads into the middle of the street?.
