On Sunday, March 3, 2002, 6 hikers revisited the beautiful Big Basin Redwoods State Park in the heart of the Santa Cruz mountains.  Due to time constraints, we did not hike the full loop, which would've taken us past 3 sets of waterfalls (which we did on the previous hike on 8/19/01).  Instead, we hiked to the nearest waterfall - Berry Creek Falls, and turned around from there.  The volume of water was substaintially more on this hike as were the forest floor flowers.  It was a very beautiful trail with much to see.  A new hiker joined us this time - Katie.  Welcome and a good job on the hike!  Let's return for an encore soon, covering the full loop!!
