May 29, 2004 - Sanborn County Park

This hike was attended by 5 people: Al, Andrew, Ann, Judit, and Paul. It was sunny, maybe around low 70's with a bit of wind. The hike was only about 5 miles but did have a bit of elevation in the front half (about 1000'). We saw a deer, some flowers, a redwood grove, a ground-digging rat/vole, among other things. After the hike, we had a leisurely picnic in the shades of some trees in the park's grassy grounds.

Photography notes: Photos taken with Canon 10D with 3 lenses: 24-70mm/2.8, 100mm/2.8 Macro, and 17-40mm/4 wide angle. All handheld. ISO 100-800. Some photos were cropped or otherwise slightly enhanced in Photoshop. 175 photos were taken for a total of 400 MB; 107 were kept; 43 are shown here. Time took to organize, enhance, narrate, and upload the photos: approximately 3 hours. Web files size: 2.85 MB. Photos are resized jpegs at 74% quality. No color management (Monitor RGB) in Photoshop.
